The Friday Fuckits

It was a ROUGH day Friday.

I got very little sleep Thursday night as the Downstairs Nightmares were loud as fuck all night long.

The new apartment manager is gone already which means our complex is temporarily being managed by someone out of Flint.

Flint.... Yah.

Can't really pop into a Flint office and drop off my written complaint very easily, seeing as how they only accept written complaints now. This means the fucktards can run rampant without fear of violation

I'm pretty sure I was a borderline psychotic all day Friday. It didn't take much for me to cross that line between fine and complete, mental breakdown....

Begin Scene

"Hey, what's up?"

"I forgot my name badge at home today, can I use my spare badge?"

"This is the THIRD time this week! You are the fifth person today who has 'forgotten' their badge and I've had to either make a new one or give them their spare. At the very minimum it takes 5 minutes of me dinking around with a name badge just so you won't get in trouble for not having a badge. Including you, so far that's been a half hour of my day."

And, this is where the mental breakdown comes into play....

"Your spare name badge isn't in the book. You know what that means, don't you?"

Ugh... I think I might see some tears....

"Um, that I used my spare name badge and didn't bring it back?"

"Yah, you did. Good luck with that. I suggest you find one or both of them because if I have to order a new badge from imaging, I'll have to charge you."

Slamming the 500lb book shut loudly enough that it echoed down the hall, I turned my back and put it away.

End Scene

I was pissed off yesterday but now I feel bad for the . I don't normally do stuff like that, that was completely out of character for me. I'm surprised people weren't chucking snicker bars at me hoping for my smiley office girl persona to return.

Needless to say, the moment I got home last night my head hit that pillow and I was out.

Another scintillating Friday night!!

The time for a move is definitely overdue McLade.

No wonder you blew a wee fuse........keeping the head would be a challenge for anyone in your situation!

i had a ridiculous situation at work this week. I resubmitted an application with a firm that made me an offer last summer. I'm thinking since I already had 2 interviews that they may call and ask me, "when do you want to start?". I get tired up putting up with co-workers petty BS. That badge thing would really set me off. That's on my check list before I walk out the door: wallet, phone, work keys, car keys, badge. I look like I'm doing the Macarena before I walk out the door.
I don't understand the people who are never prepared. How do they get through life? Is there always someone out there bailing them out? Well, I'm not their mom, they can take care of themselves when they are at work.

He knows there is no basket this year. I bought a bunch of candy and put it in a bowl on the kitchen counter. I offered to give him money and he turned it down, said he was too old. LOL

That meme is definitely ME! lol
Quite honestly, I think you did well with the 5th person who "forgot" their badge. Laying things out like that can help them see what type of situation they're creating for others. They're old enough to get the job, they're old enough to bring their damned badge to work.
If that didn't do the trick, slamming a 500lb book shut and putting it away certainly would have had my eyes popping out of my head! Hulked out!!!
He didn't quite know what to do.... Just kind of stood there for a moment and then finally walked away. That's the problem with some of the employees... Very irresponsible. Can't find their uniform shirts, forgot their badges, lost their box cutters, makes me furious!

I wouldn't be the apartment manager here if they paid me a million bucks. Yikes! There's a reason we go through so many, it's got to be a nightmare. I'm going to make the most of my weekend. First, I'm going to go to the oil change place where middle son works and have him change my oil. LOL Then I'm going to take my daughter shopping to pick out a new outfit. I'm not doing Easter Baskets this year, we're just spending time together making it simple with one gift.
