"Butter my biscuits" was the punch line in a friends blog this past week. I'm one upping that. Fresh, from scratch, biscuits are about to come out of the oven. Sausage gravy is thickening on the stove top.

My dad's approach to enduring winter in Wisconsin was by counting down to March 1. He figured that if he made it that far he had survived another one. I find myself using this technique myself this year. I'm not sure what is different but I'm really longing for the chance to get on my bicycle or into my Black Friday purchase, a new kayak.

Sticking the landing is important in gymnastics and ski jumping. Watching the boosters of the Falcon Heavy rocket stick the landing at the Kennedy Space Center was remarkable. If you haven't watched the video yet, search for it.

I wonder what my parents did to fight boredom before the internet. I asked my 17 brothers and sisters and they didn't know either.
The nurse at the sperm bank asked me if I'd like to masturbate in the cup. I said, "Well, I'm pretty good, but I don't think I'm ready to compete just yet."
Does time fly when you're having sex or was it really just one minute?
I just found an origami porn channel, but it is paper view only.
The last time I was inside a woman was when I went to the Statue of Liberty.

Californication, the end

I finished the final episode of Californication last night. I managed to watch the entire seven seasons in the last month or so. I really enjoyed looking into some truly fucked up lives. Good writing, good acting. The finale was a bit too pat of an ending but still worthwhile.
That is more TV than I've watched in ages. But winter in Wisconsin has its limits on activity if you don't enjoy generating your own wind chill.

Yesterday's 16 hour work day went comparatively well. Today I woke to discover just how hard standing on cold bare concrete can be on one's legs. So glad I get to blow a few inches of snow off my driveway to loosen up my legs.

I've got a 16 hour plus day on tap at work today. So naturally I wake up well before the coffee maker comes to life. Snow in the forecast. Not a blizzard, just enough to complicate the event at work.
And I can't think of anything sexy to post.

BlackSexMatch.com saves the day. The scent, the taste, the gentle sounds are back.
Cleaning the coffee maker really worked. I awoke to the aroma rather than the gurgling noise. The pot was all but brewed by the time I walked to the kitchen rather than the first cup barely being available.
Thanks to everyone for their coffee relationship guidance.

Continuing the coffee discussion from yesterday. My coffee maker with its timer is my alarm clock. The only time I set a different alarm is for an unusually early morning or strikingly important event. Before my current woes of a slow drip, don't judge, the aroma would awaken me. Now it is the noise gurgling. Per advice from some readers I'll be cleaning out its pipes.

I think a new coffee maker is in my future. It starts as programmed. (I have said before that a coffee maker with a timer is one of the most important inventions...ever.) It used to finish brewing a full pot in around 10 minutes. Now it is taking almost 5 minutes before I can get my first cupful and close to 30 minutes to finish the entire pot.
