Dating So I think we could agree that dating sucks, at least until you find that last one... until then, it is fun and wastes time, but is frustrating. I have recently had a financial set back, like Many Americans over the past year.... but I still wanna date and go out... So, I ask women out, and tell them. I would like take you dinner and get know ya... but you would have drive because I am without a vehicle right now, and just temporarily... but that is when they ghost..(the ones I am interested in) and I am stuck thinking of the last two decades of going pick a woman , drop her off and now that it is 2021 and women are more free and liberated... they cannot do the same thing men did for decades... WHY? How do you women think that is fair? (( I know life is not fair, blahblahblah)) |

How do you women think that is fair? -I don't think "fair" has anything to do with it. There are no, and has never been, any absolute "rule" that says a man has to pick up the woman for a date. We've just been socially conditioned to believe in these [supposed] concrete gender roles. Regardless, I'll bet there are women who are "...free and liberated..." enough to have no issue picking a man up for a date. However, it sounds like they're not the type of women you would be interested in. Sooo...that's probably more your conundrum than a matter of "fair". At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if it's "fair" or not. You just have to keep searching until you find a woman willing to pick you up. Of course, there are other mean by which you can get to the restaurant though, right? Just tell her you will meet her there. Also, work out the payment arrangement beforehand too, since you have a financial setback. There are plenty women here who would drive.....you just have to have the patience to find them . As La said....broaden your scope and see whats out there...

Aren't there any restaurants within walking distance of you? This is a safety thing for women, how do you not know this? There is no way I would pick up a guy I didn't know and give him a ride anywhere. Nor would I let a guy I didn't know well enough beforehand pick me up and take me anywhere. In general, men are stronger than me and so the risk to me of , robbery, or murder is too high for me to want to get in a car with an unknown.
