Windy Tuesday

I got two new today, and found out that another one is gone 'until further notice'. Only one of the two showed up this morning, however, and I was a bit early for my first pickup; fortunately, neither she nor her caregiver/sister really MIND when I do stuff like that.

Beautiful day, not that chilly, but windy as hell!

I had all kinds of spare time after clocking in this morning, so I took a short drive to Bambi's church to deliver a small for her womens' fellowship group. STILL had a long time before I had to leave the parking lot, however.

Bambi is still asleep, and my thing is to stay out of the bedroom until I know she's woken up.

She wants to go bed shopping soon, perhaps as early as today. I don't blame her because our current one is shot to hell.

Heard from Doug last night. He's fine, just didn't feel well yesterday.

Removed the phone-holder from Lucy not long ago. I'd expoxied it to the dashboard a couple of days ago, without taking it apart to let the adhesive cure, and it fell off. THIS time, I brought it inside, took it apart, cleaned it up of gunk on the base, took it out to Lucy, re-epoxied the base in place, and am letting it cure at least two or three days before reassembling it.

I'm not the brightest bulb in the tree, but I DO learn. . . .eventually!

Kansas' temperature is now about 80 degrees, which is about where I always wanted it. Why it's finally there is anybody's guess. I'm just glad it IS.

I listen to old music whenever I can; The Moody Blues, The Cowsills, Johnny Cash, Elton John, etc. Constantly. It soothes my soul. What else is there to say, really?

I should clean the intake tube on Kansas and take the strain off the impeller, but the system seems to be working quite well at present, noise excepted, of course, so what the hell? It'll get done eventually.

Yeah, I'm also a HUGE procrastinator!

Should be a fairly easy task; just unplug the filter, shut off the valves, remove the intake hose from the spout once the water's gone, pull the spout out, clean up the tip, and reinstall the thing. Not a big deal, I suppose.

Turbo's asleep and hiding somewhere. Haven't seen him since I left for work earlier this morning. God knows that cat has plenty of hidey-holes in this house.

I have two friends on Facebook; Doug and my wife. Two friends here now; Joy and Doug. Guess I'm NOT going to win any popularity contests. . . Oh well.

Got a self-evaluation form to fill out at work this morning. Funny thing is that I could've sworn I'd filled out an identical document several weeks ago.. .......

One of our drives returned from disability leave this morning. He was a sight for sore eyes!

We keep losing employees, but new ones are very few, quite far between these days. . .

More later, probably.
