In case you weren't aware, one of the glitches here is that in order for your new post to appear in the list of new posts, a comment under it is required. Bloggers usually add that first comment themselves. Without the obligatory first comment, only your blog subscribers are aware of your new blog posts.

If you go to the NEW community "www name of site dot com slash community" (instead of "www name of site dot com slash blog" where we are now, the blogs don't have this issue, and in general the system works better.
