WHY DO PEOPLE LIE ???
WHY DO PEOPLE LIE ??? I am absolutely stunned at the amount of people who tell lies. Factual information cannot be considered a grey area; it is either correct and therefore truthful or it is incorrect and therefore a lie. A shout out to all the people like me, who are open and honest and actually tell the truth. If you cannot tell the truth then don't say anything at all. You don't need to tell everyone everything; but what you do choose to tell people should at the very least be truthful and totally correct. When you tell the truth you build up trust in people which leads to a really good relationship regardless of the type of relationship. To all of you who feel the need to lie can you tell me why you lie? You must feel quite insecure and not good enough? Well I am here to tell you there is no need to feel like that. In life you have to stand up and be counted and be regarded as a respectful person. Why would you not feel good enough? Of course you are good enough. Just say it how it actually is, people will like you more and they will be happy to be around you. What fascinates me is how liars think they will get away with lying, don't you know that all lies are found out in the end or in many cases become evident sooner rather than later. So don't you think it is better to be truthful from the start? Your opinion is obviously different as that is not based on factual information and everyone is entitled to their own opinion and nobody can shout you down for your own opinion. So be proud and say your opinion loud! However lying to make yourself sound better is ridiculous - it really is. If people don't accept you for who you are without lying that is their problem and not yours. The other thing when you tell the truth your story never changes, why would it? All of you out there who lie, we are sharper than you think and notice an immediate change in your story. Some people tell that many lies they can't even remember what they said in the first place ! Try telling the truth and see what you think? In my opinion the truth is always best. Sometimes the truth can be ugly and uninviting but at least you can hold your head up high knowing you have told the whole truth and whilst the other person may or may not like it at least they will respect you for being truthful. All of my family and friends and colleagues love me for it, they know they can totally depend on me. If you want to be respected, well liked and maybe even loved then STOP lying today - liberate yourself - the truth shall set you free!!! How did it go? did you get a slap or a hug? lol |

I've found lying about age the most common one. Sending a photo that's more than 5 years out of date will be spotted immediately, or the work you've had done to cover it up will be a give-away. Then there's lying and withholding the truth.......shades of grey? Welcome to the blogs, you write well!, it would be good to see more from you. ps - if you add a comment to your own posts once you've uploaded, the site will recognise the post as active and it will appear on the blogs front page, and therefore reach a far wider audience.

Girl I was at college with several decades ago was a compulsive liar. She just lied her way through life, or so it seemed. For example, she lied about the car she had - said her boyfriend had bought her it and he had his own car, but she just let him drive her about. Turns out the car belonged to him and had nothing to do with her. She lied that her boyfriend owned or ran a restaurant. But he actually was the chef. Why she did it? I don't know. Perhaps it just came naturally to her. Perhaps she felt she needed to make out she was "better" than everyone else. We took most of what she said at face value, but near the end of the course the truth started to come out and things began to fall into place which explained a lot of things. I never encountered her again. Thankfully.

I think you are absolutely right that insecure people lie the most. The worst part is that insecure people tend to lie to themselves more than anyone and that just leads to wallowing in self misery. Lying can actually derail a person's life out from underneath them and then they cannot figure out why their life is a disaster. If I make a promise, as long as I have breath in my body, I will keep that promise. Unfortunately, we seem to live in a society where lying can get you pretty much anything you want as long as you can back it up and/or have money.I have witnessed countless friends and random guys lie their asses off to women at the bar back in my 20's and those guys almost always left with those women. So, thusly I deduced that was a big reason why I usually left the bars without company. lol Well, I never have, and I never will lie just to get a woman in bed. With that kind of thinking I seem to be in the minority. Also, a lot of people REALLY do not like hearing the truth. Sometimes you have to tell the truth like a band aid--- It is going to sting but rip it off quickly so it is less painful. The truth shall set you free!

If you intend to start calling out liars on the blogs you wont be short of material! There are people here who have invested their lives in creating the online persona that reflects the erotic life they want to have ... instead of being a plain suburban housewife Which is why people lie, because in truth they are at best normal, and probably a little dreary.

What a story! Did you hear the loud crash as I fell off my chair?? Some people also publish their erotic prose on the blogs. I've never been around the stories section much so I'm unsure if the bigger audience is here or there. Looking forward to the next instalment!
