A little food for thought....

Getting my teeth cleaned today, I'm super excited!

I know what you're thinking....

Excited about the dentist??

I'd rather have bamboo shoots shoved beneath my fingernails. I'd rather scrape my knuckles across a cheese grater at high velocity.

I'd rather have any other unimaginable torture befall me before going to the dentist!!

Here's the thing....

There will come a time when we no longer have to sport our masks. The time will come when we can come face to face with people and have conversations with them allowing us to see them in full.

A time when we can see smiles once again!

For me, my smile is important. Up until now, it was always one of the first things people noticed about me, my beautiful smile.

Not because my teeth were perfect, they certainly are not.

Not because my teeth are dazzling white, I do my best but you can't see them from space.

But because my smile is genuine, and and warm, and a beautiful smile can turn someone's whole day around.

So it has always been important to me to see the dentist.

When someone meets me for the first time, the last impression I want to leave on them is...

Yikes! Look at Lady Cletus over here.... She's missing her chewing straw.

Happy Tuesday!

It's that sonic cleaning thing they use, that makes me cringe at the mere thought! Like nails on a blackboard........

You do have a beautiful smile McLade, it must light up rooms!
Nobody can see it anymore now that we wear masks...

Having a healthy smile is good for your over-all health as well. People don't think about how much of an impact it has. Best way to help keep that lovely, bright smile that you have!
I didn't realize how bad teeth could be harmful to your heart until my dentist was telling me about it during one of my checkups. Infected teeth can mean there is infection in the bloodstream... Not good for your overall health at all.

Thankfully, I still have all of my teeth except one at the back!
I can be a dentists nightmare with my fused neck. I've actually been 'put under' when even just having a filling.
I'm very, very lucky... Haven't had a filling in years. I did get lectured today, though, by the hygienist from hell. The last time I had my teeth cleaned they told me I had to get my wisdom teeth extracted... That did not happen. Eeek!
