Unblocking the blocked is an undoubted con. But there are far more cons to the new Community format than this con. It makes blogland less of a community. As far as I can tell when I ventured into the new format, there is no generic page of blogland covering top bloggers, new bloggers, recent posts etc. It only covers trending blog posts, which will suit the top bloggers and not anyone else! Also the format will encourage, not that they need encouragement, certain top bloggers to post even more, further squeezing everyone else out of the game. And the format encourages, given that the first few lines of a blog post show up as the selling point, to not blog any considered, lengthy post. I can't see how blogs I follow will be maintained. or how I can easily monitor who has commented on my blog. And lastly, the new format also destroys groups. They are just a footnote. The new format is marginally better than the format rolled our a while back. But the new format is not good. The site's business model is to use its female members to attract paying male members. The new community format just reflects this. The new format is all about click-bait and, with this site, chick-bait!

Well Joy, I just now took a look at the "New Community" and I DON'T like it at all. I too am a standard and I do not see the benefits. I suppose I should play around with it a little more, but after 5 minutes I had enough. I currently do not belong to any groups. I plan to, but the ones I was in became dead so I got out. The new shit carried my old groups over like I never left them. As for your question I will agree. I haven't had to block anyone, but they should not be carried over. That is BS. Wanttodoall2 postbox

I haven't visited the 'new' community for a while and wasn't aware any changes had been made. I read the brief descriptions given to the new community beta and decided not to try it. Too many things that I'm not thrilled with and I'll wait until they roll out the actual thing. My name is MrWrong and I approved this comment

Access relating to Blocked Users is a serious issue. [Beta] version is to assess all these issues. Hope they correct it in the final version. Vote here Favorite Boob

I am not impressed with it at all. While in Beta mode you cannot access 'My Stuff' within the header and so forth. It's a pain in th ebutt to get off the beta page and view blogs as normal but I figured it out. More clicking than should be needed for sure. Thanks for raising this serious issue to the administration of aF.f This is a huge safety concern that needs to be addressed immediately so that people that are harming others don't get to continue doing it. I read your blog about someone receiving a lifetime ban ... but I don't know how that is enforced when you can always create a new profile at any time.
