No, my are cannot boast such statistics. I do wear a mask when I cannot social distance, even if I am outside. Warning - rant coming about my definition of citidiots. Now the term citidiot is one that I have used to describe people that drive in the city more than they drive elsewhere. They follow to close, pull out in front of faster traffic without enough room (espressways) that is overtaking them to pass a slightly slower car, pull back into the right lane without leaving the passed driver a safety cushion and try to pass on the right when the car in the left lane is overtaking a vehicle vehicle and there is not sufficient safe space for them to cut back into the left lane. They also will pass you when within a quarter to half a mile of their exit and then pull back into the right lane again without leaving sufficient space. Rant over I think that the best we can do is to practice the precautions and avoid those that do not.

The masks are a fucking joke. The actual size of the virus is much smaller than the holes in our masks. They don't prevent shit. I see many out and about with their nose completely exposed. And are we just going to live in a world of fear for the rest of our lives and always wear masks cause of an invisible boogey man out there? Wake up people. We have thousands who will refuse to wear masks who are led by our Big Orange idiot President..We always wear them and social distance as much as possible. So far so good..Always laugh at these whining assholes who don't follow the basics and get the virus and see them whining on TV about how they should have been more careful and this very real..Duh?

I am one of the very lucky ones, masks have not been needed for the past 3 months. I live in New Zealand. Our lockdown between March - May effectively eliminated community transmission and since then all people arriving at our borders have gone into a government run, strict 14 day quarantine which has kept us Covid-free in the community. Life has returned to an almost pre- covid situation, which I appreciate immensely. I feel for you who are in countries where leaders have not taken the threat of Covid seriously and the impact on your lives. I genuinely wish you all the best for your health (physical and mental) during theses stressful times .

The basic problem is the macho idiots (of both genders) that feel they're tough/young/healthy and this won't fall ill - ALTHOUGH recent trends a showing that's not really true either. They either don't understand, or WORSE - DON'T CARE - that they could be a carrier and infecting others not blessed with their macho (shit-head) mentality and great health. Masks are "recommended" in my state, "suggested" in my county, and "required" in the nearest large city, but typically enforcement is as wishy-washy as those terms indicate. Well articulated rant which certainly drew a response. In southern Sask, where the virus is minimal, I see about 50% wearing masks in stores because they know that the mask prevents the spread of the virus but does nothing to prevent you from catching it. Wearing it shows caring about others.

So when did you start wearing a mask? When local athorities told you to? When you were made aware of a "pandemic" When its flu "season"? Here in Alberta, it is not mandatory to wear a mask Joy, but the truth is, is that we wear one and you all for sure should wear one indoors especially if in a very crowded confined space or in hospitals or if for sure mandatory because masks do help prevent the spread and along with social distancing, help a lot we think. That is so well said. I hope a lot of people read it and give it a lot of thought. I Manitoba masks are not mandatory but common sense. Wear a mask, protect yourself and all those around you. Stay home as much as you can, and keep two meters apart as much as you can. Protect each other, care about others and this is no time to be selfish and think of individual freedoms. Be responsible! Masks and social distancing ( 6 ft. ) are required in all stores in my area. A couple of times I've seen where people have been asked by staff to leave the store if they weren't wearing one. Other times I've seen the non-mask wearer get a pass as if the order doesn't exist. The problem as I see it no one ( store employees ) wants to get into a confrontation with people not following the rules as out line by the CDC and required by order of our local health department. Let's face it some one working as a clerk making minimum wage has no real authority to enforce the requirement. In the larger stores and some of the smaller places as well. The problem is often taken to the manager but by the time he / she comes out of the office the scoffer of masks is usually gone from the store. Having read the riot act to the poor clerk making them feel like crap for trying to make the scoffer follow the rules. After going through something like that, the employee gets tired of trying and gives up. Better to not raise the issue than to be berated by some "Citidiot" It's a no win situation in some cases. As for the Trump following M.A.G.A. crowd who by and large follow everything their fearless leader tells them like it was written in stone and don't don a mask for their's and others well being because he doesn't.. Well I've said it before and I'll say it again..they should have to spend some time in a I.C.U. unit that's treating covid19 patents emptying bed pans. I'll bet dollars to donuts they'll be screaming for some P.P.E. the minute they walk on the ward. It's easy to scoff, another thing to be on the front lines of this pandemic. Wear a mask people, keep a distance, doing so could save your life or the life of someone you love.

You are wrong J. as there is a select few IN CANADA that protest the wearing of masks.....of the ones protesting on TV are mainly in and around Toronto. They use the term..."it's my constitutional right to choose and I choose to NOT wear one.....I say throw them in jail or have them sign a release form to refuse hospital treatment when they get the virus.....huge chance is they will.... Mandatory facemask wearing came just recently to the uk as did everything else and why we have the highest death rate in Europe. A common courtesy even regardless of so many views about the effectiveness and haven't seen anyone in shops not wearing them other than some staff which is a bit surreal , some with masks and faceshields others with nothing at all! Is very noticeable how since they became mandatory the social distance thing has just about dissapeared . Very apparant how some countries have dealt with the virus better than others and facemasks were worn early in most .A second wave now breaking all over europe and first waves breaking out in very unstable countries throughout the world .The world needs an anti virus desperately but in the meantime why wouldn't you take every precaution you can .

I'm just getting wind of your old post months later, so my apologies in advance for the late reply. We can agree to disagree. I mean, yes, Americans are complete idiots by the masses. That doesn't change science, or the fact that the virus is smaller than the fabric of most masks being worn (i.e. next to useless to wear to begin with), or the fact that life, time and human needs just don't stop on a dime just because a plague sweeps through. Masks, social distancing and all of the other crazy nonsense are all part of the propaganda to divide society and to be able to manipulate, control and enslave us all much easier. It's a way to force people into their propaganda of so-called "vaccinations" or other malicious purposes that they're putting into their non-clinical tested serum in order to enslave us all. How easy it'll then be to say "you have no admittance into (fill in the blank...entertainment venue, restaurant, hotel, hospital, church, school, store, senior care facility per visitation or otherwise) if you're not vaccinated", all on the premise that you're infected with Covid. Perhaps you don't see how easy it is to instantly have rights completely removed and be enslaved by it all by the simplicity of their agenda and plan. I have no idea what Canadian rights are, but in America the only thing that separates us from any other country on earth is our Constitution. To care for our rights and for people should be an identical equal, for if we have no rights, we have no 'We The People' here in America. Millions upon millions of soldiers have fought and died to help preserve the rights that I have and for what my Founding Fathers have set in motion, and that cannot ever be overlooked, as it is just as much tribute of dignity and service for those late and fallen people, as well (that's also caring for people). Sadly, it's all being swept from under us, due to a virus. Huh?!?!?! That's laughable mentality, so respectfully speaking, perhaps maybe YOU should "think about it" a bit more. You can win a war in two ways. 1. ) With guns, wars and violence. 2. ) Simply out of fear, divide and having the people fight against each other and for you (as the perpetrator). It's not hard to look at the news each day and see exactly the effect of that #2 way, as we lack unity, massive divide through media, racism tactics, political divide and fury, purging of historical material, etc... . It's been over a year of dealing with diapers on our faces and frankly, we've gotten nowhere except knowing how to deal with the virus a bit better. The numbness and fear has pretty well worn off by now. No hard feelings. As I have said, we can probably POLITELY and RESPECTFULLY agree to disagree. I'm still agreeing to the prior person whom I had replied to, regarding my "nicely said!" comment, because he's 100% correct. Good day.
