"Gird your loins people." Really! ! Again? My loins are just now recovering from the last girding you put them through. I may be looking at a loin transplant after this one. OK here goes . . .

You're right, we'll all get through this. However bad it seems to be the odds are with any individual in favor of not getting it. Just hang on and do whatever you can to help out.

Fifty-one hundred years ago (3100 BC), the Mayans produced its "Long Count Calendar" that set the end of the "Great Cycle" as 2012 AD. All-knowing Western *scholars* interpreted this end-point as our apocalypse. Time has made our subsequent doomsayers more flamboyant (Nostradamus, Jim Jones) but has not improved their accuracy.

The year 2020 will eventually reflect itself as a hiccup in a host of historical curves and trendlines. That is not to minimize the very real pain, suffering and injustice that currently surrounds us. Rather it is confirm that almost all of us will survive this Pandemic and more than a few will come out stronger.

Sentience is a *superpower* (when we are compared to the rest of the animal kingdom) that cuts both ways. Our ability to conjure intense pleasure is complemented by an equally gloomy talent for despair. Most of the time we have agency in selecting which direction we allow our emotions to go.

We are also blessed with amazing powers of interpersonal communication and an authentic capacity for synergy that allows us share our energy and spirit. Blended together, we can be collectively buoyed in optimism or submerged in pity.

Thank you for paying it forward for the former.

...a well written and timely PSA..... we will come out of this... just a matter of when....

...and then the regularly scheduled programming will see a decided uptick in viewership.... after all... who doesn't like thigh highs and heels....

...carpe diem...

Just take it one day at a time
The first wave never ended for me in Florida so I still treat it as such.

Developed a routine and it keeps me distracted, with this place being one of them. Different themes for movies. This week was Hitchcock week and upcoming week will be Mission Impossible franchise coupled with walks in the morning, working, my books and my writings, and some old school video games.

Stay strong, stay sane and take it one day at a time.

LMAO...

Ok, so Red, here's the thing... I know how much girding you enjoyed the last go round, and were feeling the loss of it... so brought it back ESPECIALLY for YOU! Nodding... It's true... I'm a giver.

giggling. C'mon... you know you love it.

Ya know Jules, I don’t gird for just anyone, I’m not a loosey goosey hurdy girdy man, I girded for you . My enjoyment comes from giving and girding for you . . . yes, I'm a giver too.

But Babe, can I call you Babe? Girding is NOT fun, its work – it is hard on the loins. Have you felt my loins lately? They are en fuego.

WOW ! ! ! Imagine my surprise babe . I go from girding for a stranger to being in a relationship with the alluring Jules herself. Does this mean I get to see what is under your . . . hat?

Holding our heads up and trying to stay positive, although and effort at times, it does help to maintain a sense of balance. Especially during these times of uncertainty and seeming confusion.
You words speak wisdom and truth. We are resilient and will endure and see this pandemic through to it's conclusion.
As Yoda once said, " For once you begin down the dark side, forever will it guide you." Or something like that. So, stay positive and keep on smiling.

I love how you write! We WILL get through this. A song comes to mind, by REO Speedwagon:
(Keep pushin', keep pushin', keep pushin'
Keep pushin' on
(Keep pushin', keep pushin', keep pushin'
You know you have got to be so strong
(Keep pushin', keep pushin', keep pushin'
Well even if you think, your strength is gone
(Keep pushin', keep pushin'
Keep pushin' on, yeah

Have a great day, and be nice to one another.
